Design Process



Lithesome Lettering offers an array of services from calligraphy envelopes to complete invitation suite design and assembly.  Our goal is to meet the calligraphy and design needs for your project or event.

Please submit an inquiry for all projects via email or the contact page.  Once we have received the quantity of each item and all design specifications (ink colour, paper choices, lettering style, any additional requests), we will provide a quote for your project.

After the project price, scope, and design elements have been discussed, Lithesome Lettering will send a design proof for your approval.  A 50% deposit is required upon approval to begin production.  Calligraphy services typically take 2 to 3 weeks for completion once the deposit is received.  Please allow approximately 6 weeks for custom art or invitation suite design.  Rush orders will be taken based on project size and availability.

You will have the option for Lithesome Lettering to send all products to you, or your event planner; or to assemble all elements and send them to directly your guests*.

Lithesome Lettering works with you to create a suite tailor made for your wedding or event.  After an inquiry is received requesting a custom invitation suite, we will send you a questionnaire to fill out.  This questionnaire will help us to better understand the vision of your event, so that we can bring our ideas to the initial design meeting.

In our design meetings, we will discuss colors, artwork, invitation wording, and extra elements.  We can source and include items such as specialty paper, silk ribbon, vintage stamps, and wax seals to be a part of your completed suite.

We will then send you design proofs and details (paper type, size, extra embellishments, etc…) for your edits and final approval.  You will also receive a final quote for all elements of your custom suite.  A 50% deposit will be required to start production of your suite.  Once your suite is complete, it will be completely assembled, addressed in the lettering of your choice, and sent either to you or directly to your guests.  All extras and services will be included in your pricing quote.
